The International City Church story is about people. People hungry for God. People hungry to do good works in their community, and people passionate about bringing hope to those feeling hopeless.

The story started in 1912 when a handful of people began meeting in each others homes to pray for the borough of Doncaster. At first they were just 7 in number but by 1921 meetings were being held in a room above the Ragged School on Factory Lane with around 20 people in attendance. After 1928 their congregation had rocketed to over 400 people and a Mr W.J. Thomas was invited to become the first Pastor of the newly named 'Doncaster Pentecostal Church'.

The congregation met briefly at the Co-operative Hall but in 1932 built a larger premises at Portland Place where 'DPC' remained for seventy years. Throughout this period church attendance fluctuated and many Pastors came and went. However the pioneering and stabilising ministries of John Vickery and Brian Quar served the church well from 1983-2002 and instigated some much-needed progress.

When Grayson and Del Jones arrived as Senior Leaders in 2002 the congregation was renamed International City Church. This was to refocus and reinforce God's wider, global vision. Transformational change was implemented straight away and proved to be the catalyst to much of what we see today: a fresh, fast growing and dynamic 21st century church. In 2009 the Church has become one church, two locations as a satellite church opened in Barnsley.

We currently have over 350 people attending our Sunday services each week. That's 350 people wanting real relationship. People who want to connect with a real God. People who are desperate to uncover God's destiny and adventure for their lives.

We invite you to join us and play your part in the story…
